Here we go then, my annual review.
I was not as active as I had originally planned this year, but there were extenuating circumstances so I am fine with it. When my wife fell ill in late January, I took full advantage of her not being around by getting a lot of hobby related stuff sorted. The novelty soon, however, wore off and I became more interested in binge watching all kinds of box-sets on Sky, the kind of box-sets that I know she wouldn't have been interested in. I rewatched Band of Brothers, The Pacific, The Wire. I watched Chernobyl for the first time, got lost in How I Met Your Mother (which hasn't aged well), Community, The Office, Parks and Recreation.
Figure Painting
I have painted up a few Reaper Bones miniatures. I am pleased to have done a few of these. My children also had a go at painting them, The nun was started by my five-year-old. I was pleased to enjoy time with them painting. I also started using the foam-filled storage case to store the miniatures in.
Battlegroup WW2
I painted up a platoon of soviet infantry, some trucks, ATGs and tanks. They look really good, might even by my favourite army so far. They were a gift from my brother at Christmas. They were a pleasure to paint, but faired poorly on the table. I think I have only played two BG games this year. My brother came over from the USA and we didn't manage to get a game in, which was a disappointment.
