So I mentioned I had been playing Minecraft recently. Having made time to play a couple of WW2 wargames, I have fallen right back into playing on the Switch. I thought I would showcase some of my creations. I am going for a rustic farm kind of vibe, with castles. Nothing too crazy at the moment, like a 300ft Spongebob, or a labyrinth of death.
A few of my buildings. Some smaller farmhouses. I built each of my kids a small house for them to modify and expand if they want.
You can see two castles. The closer is for my daughter. The further is across a river and is where I am predominantly building right now, so has become my go to home.
This is my farm. The barn on the hill was carefully planned and the paddocks are largely aesthetic and inefficient for actually farming resources. The farmhouse in the centre was the house I built when I settled on this island. I originally spawned like 3000 blocks away over a large ocean and settled there first, but wanted a better life for myself, so got up and moved, discovering this place.
This is my Nether portal. I have 684 days played and only went to the Nether this weekend, on day 670 or so. The kids at school were encouraging me to finally go there but I was too scared.
This bridge connects my farm island with my new castle and Nether portal. I am expanding!
